It Is Not Yet Over — When God Rewrites Your Story

May 20, 2026  ·  by admin

There are moments in life when it feels like the story is finished. The dream did not happen. The relationship broke. The opportunity closed. The prayer seemed unanswered. Somewhere inside, a quiet voice whispers, “Maybe this is the end.”

But faith answers with another sound: It is not yet over.

This is the message of Kesi Imekwisha. It is not only a name; it is a declaration that God can still move when everything looks closed.

The Moment Everything Felt Finished

Every person has a moment where life does not go according to plan. It is easy to trust God when everything is moving forward. It is harder when the road suddenly stops. But many times, God does His deepest work in places we would never choose.

Lazarus: When It Looked Too Late

In John 11, Lazarus was dead for four days before Jesus arrived. To everyone around the tomb, the situation was finished. The stone was in place. The mourning had begun.

“Lazarus, come out!” — John 11:43

Jesus called life out of a place everyone had already buried. Lazarus teaches us that delay is not defeat. What looks too late to people is not too late for God.

Joseph: When Betrayal Became Purpose

Joseph was sold by his brothers, taken to Egypt, falsely accused, imprisoned, and forgotten. His life looked finished many times, but God was working in hidden places.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” — Genesis 50:20

Joseph did not deny the harm. He declared that God had a greater intention. God can take what was meant to break you and use it to build wisdom, strength, and purpose.

Ruth: When Loss Became a New Beginning

Ruth’s story began with grief. She lost her husband and faced an uncertain future. But one faithful step led her to a field, then to Boaz, then into the family line of David and ultimately Jesus.

Ruth teaches us that one faithful step can open a door you could not see.

What “Not Yet Over” Means Today

It does not mean your pain is not real. It means your pain does not have the final word. Your mistake, delay, closed door, betrayal, or financial struggle does not have the final word. God has the final word.

How to Hold Hope Without Pretending

  • Tell God the truth.
  • Remember what He has already carried you through.
  • Stay connected to worship.
  • Take one faithful step.
  • Speak life over your story.

A Declaration Prayer

Father, I bring You my whole story. There have been moments when I felt finished, but today I choose to believe You are still writing. My past does not have the final word. My pain does not have the final word. You have the final word. Restore my hope and give me courage to take the next faithful step. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
